Introduction: Under the Sea Decoration for Classroom/Playroom

Super simple and my kids love it!

It doesn't have to be sharks, you can use any sea life.

Supplies

  • One blue tablecloth
  • printer, or you can hand draw the sharks
  • Scissors
  • Thumbtacks
  • Cardstock (any color) I used blue (optional) can use printer paper, it's just not as heavy as the cardstock.

Step 1: Print/Draw Your Sharks

Print out your Sharks with a printer or hand draw your sharks.

I printed out three different sharks and then used them as a templates to trace my sharks onto my cardstock

I decided to go with the cardstock, because I wanted to have darker, heavier sharks. But printer paper sharks work just fine.

NOTE: If you have a Cameo or Cricut, I included an SVG for the sharks I used.

Step 2: Cut Out Your Sharks

I cut out the printer paper shark and then used it as a template to trace my sharks onto my cardstock.

You can do the same method with just tracing your shark onto another sheet of printer paper to save printer ink.

NOTE: If you have a Cameo or Cricut, I included an SVG for the sharks. So you can use that to cut instead.

Step 3: Time to Hang the Tablecloth

You want to pick a spot with an overhang light.

Just start at one end of the tablecloth. Pin it up with the tacks and then as you are tacking up the other end, you can decide how far off the light you want to be.

Make sure to give it slack, for a bit of a saggy look. You don't want it to touch the light.

Step 4: Add Sharks :)

I just tossed the cut out sharks onto the topside of the tablecloth.

I let them land randomly.

You can lightly smack the sharks from the underside of the tablecloth to get them to reposition.

Step 5: All DONE!!

I hope you enjoyed making this simple fun decoration.

This is my First ever INSTRUCTABLE!

Please let me know if you have any tips for the future.

Thank You
